AFI-Uplift is committed to the safety of our employees and customers. You are assured of rigorous processes for your protection – our expertise is your peace of mind.
Machine Inspection
Every machine undergoes a pre-delivery inspection before being released for hire from an AFI depot.
| • |
If the machine fails the inspection it will not go on hire until it has been repaired and has passed a repeat inspection. |
| • |
Every machine in the AFI fleet is subject to a planned maintenance programme which meets the manufacturer's specification. |
| • |
Each machine in our fleet also undergoes a 'thorough examination' every six months. |

AFI makes every effort to ensure that when you hire one of our access platforms it is as safe as it can be. Ultimately however, the hiring customer is responsible for the safe operation of the machine and the safety of those who could be affected by its actions.
The Powered Access Interest Group (PAIG), a joint committee of the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) and the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), have called for all users of boom type access platforms to wear a full body harness with a short restraint lanyard attached to a suitable anchor point.
